* Gold fused is an actual layer of pure Gold that is heat fused to one or both sides of the base metal, in our case the base metal is Italian high quality 925 silver.
* Gold fused is not to be confused with gold plated as Gold fused literally has 100% more gold than gold plated.
* Unlike plated (aka electroplated or "dipped") metals, Gold-fused is legally required to contain 5% or 1/20 gold by weight. This 5% is then described by the Karats of the gold alloy. We use 18K Gold-filled items.
* With proper care, Gold fused pieces can last 10- 15 years. Gold filled contains 100 times more pure gold as gold plated - it has real gold beauty but it`s a lot more affordable.
